Ever wonder how the iPod is marketed in countries outside of the US, Europe, and Asia, like say…South Africa? 9to5mac has posted a few iPod ads from South Africa, and I must say that they are very much different than any iPod ad I’ve seen in the States, or Europe for that matter.
The ads are hosted on Ads of the World, but for some reason I can’t get to them from that site anymore. It may have to do with Apple asking people to remove the ads from their web pages. For now, they’re still up at 9to5mac, so check them out!
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun. (Plus, we've got columns by Andy Ihnatko!)

I can't seem to find the ads anywhere. adsoftheworld gets an access denied. Folks that copied and hosted it on their iDisk get the page not found clue. And I've tried since last night around 7 or 8 PM.
Folks at MacUser, I'd appreciate an email if you know where where it still might be laying around. ;-)
Yeah, I'd like a more high-res version too, please. Why the cease and desist?
I see you guys are having a hard time without Aayush. No new posts since... :)
Could we change the title of this post to "Apple in South Africa". In the United States, Africa is often thought of as one place with no cultural diversity. Africa is a large continent that is high diverse. South Africa also is somewhat different than other parts of sub-Saharan Africa with its relatively good infrastructure.
